Drawing for a new painting

It is about rainbow that connect a man and woman. From the man, the rainbow carries seeds, and from the woman it does flowers. Water droplets from clouds come joining the rainbow, and they leave the rainbow to form clouds. Birds get water droplets from the rainbow.  A dog and two cats are walking on the rainbow. All these interactions are being observed by the sun and the moon.

Trust

If you were asked to lean on the support of a chair, which is invisible, would you be able to do so? Religious faith is all about leaning on this invisible support. This is the most difficult thing to do for any human mind, but if you could, then there would be a whole new world opening up before you. Trust and see.

Haiga collaboration

I am inviting Japanese hajins to collaborate with me in making haiga or photo haiku. They submit their favorite haiku and I make an image for it. For Jp folks, I make English translation. Also I sign the haiga, frame and mail it. All for a fee of 10,000 yen. I can do the same for the non-Jp speaking haijin living overseas for a fee of $120 (Jp translation, frame & postage included). Email me if you are interested.

Gold

Coins

Once in a long while, I do painting like this, just to enjoy the feel of non-digital procedures. This is very small, 15cmx15cm, and was done several years ago.

Formation

A friend in Hawaii sent me a pic of a wall sculpture by Satoru Abe. It has small circle at the center, signifying the sun. Because it is placed a little off center the negative space created thereby shows the shape of crescent moon. So, this piece shows both the sun and the moon, which to me is a symbol of the creator of not only the islands but also all of the world.

Giclee prints

Some of my haiga are on sale at a Japanese E-commerce site.
The haiga is printed in giclee, which uses 12 inks to print.
